I am
I'm anxious, excited and hopeful for the first time in so very long.
I'm also, seriously confused and terribly worried.
I'm finding it nearly impossible to concentrate on the moment to moment in the moment.
I'm imagining scenarios with outcomes to rival Disney Movies.
I'm worried my chest hurts, and this time it's not a coronary event.
I'm very chilly in a room on a day of humidity and heat.
I'm wishing for the younger more desirable me to now be.
I'm seeing her in my thoughts right now.
I'm missing her right now so much so that I'm scared. No, worried.
I'm not falling in love. I can't be. I never really was when I thought I was.
I'm sure of that now.
I'm sure we've never even touched and that's fine.
I'm reaching out to her though.
W. Somerset Maugham, Of Human Bondage
Like all weak men he laid an exaggerated stress on not changing one’s mind.
